Although it took a huge amount of time to get the bodyshop to make a proper start on the XJR-S (pre-facelift), fortunately it seems they’ve gotten in a rhythm and painted the car a week or so later. I was sent the photos below on Friday, and by now the bodykit will have been painted too, so by next week I should be able to collect the whole lot and we can make a start on reassembling the interior and other parts of the car – which will be the point where I really start to get excited. The photos aren’t of particularly good quality, unfortunately, but from what I can see I’m pleased with the new paint, and I’m sure a few people on Twitter will be happy to see that it hasn’t been painted in yellow! When I’ve got the car back in the workshop I’ll take some proper photos and maybe a walk around video of it to log the progress properly.
