This week we finally managed to get the XJ12 up in the air so that we could have a look underneath and see whether my purchase was a good one, or if it was completely rotten. I filmed a video and took a load of photos so you could all see the underside and make some ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ sounds and pull pained faces, which I wasn’t because I was mostly laughing at the faces other people were pulling.
As you can see in the video above, the underneath of the car somewhat matches the top side, with plenty of rust but nothing that seems truly fatal. The whole underside is certainly crusty and its certainly a Sunday car at the moment, but there is still a lot to like about it and I think it would be a shame if it was broken for parts.
