The Car
The Peugeot 205 GTi is an iconic hot hatch and is still widely respected for its abilities, especially when fitted with the 1.9l engine as this one is. These cars are becoming quite the collector’s piece and have been appreciating strongly recently. This car is in overall good condition and benefits from a respray in its original green, a rarity for a GTi.
Paperwork
This car comes with a good history folder containing the original service books and a good amount of invoices detailing the work carried out over the car’s lifespan. The service book has a healthy amount of stamps up to 120,000 miles (which is when the service book became full). There is every MOT included in the history folder with the car detailing the mileage covered. The invoices included also account for how well the car has been looked after over its lifespan.
Body and Paintwork
This car has recently benefitted from a full respray and the paintwork is in very good order all round apart from a small dent in the boot. The body is solid with no rust.
Interior and Trim
The interior of this car is in good condition with no rips or tears, the drivers seat is faded on the bolsters though we believe this should not be too difficult to fix. The rest of the interior is as it should be with no visible damage and no cracks in the hard plastics. It is becoming ever harder to find 205s with a good condition interior and this is one of them.
Engine
The engine is in good order and runs well, pulling as it should and running smoothly. The car is due to be serviced and will be ready for its new owner to enjoy without having to worry about any unforeseen issues.
Running Gear
The running gear of this car is in good order as is the rest of the car. The gear change is smooth and does not catch. The brakes stop the car directly and in a straight line (though with such a light car there isn’t much to stop!). The new owner can rest assured that the car will have been fully serviced by us and that all of the car will be checked. The car will also be provided with a new MOT.
