The Car
This lovely little MG Midget has evidently been the subject of a full restoration and is in excellent condition because of it. This car is a real stunner and has received even more work during its time with us, including a new roof and some minor corrections just to make sure that it as good as it can be. The car has also undergone a full service to make sure it is running its best.
The MG Midget is a fantastic little British sports car that is an appreciating classic in its own right. This particular example drives brilliant and receives a lot of attention for its condition and character. Its a perfect car for summer motoring and is easy to enjoy.
Paperwork
The history folder for this car has a few old MOTs and invoices but doesn’t have the invoices for its restoration or any photos of the restoration either which is a shame though the condition of the car really does speak for itself. We also have applied for a heritage certificate for the car.
Body & Paintwork
The bodywork of this car is in very good condition with no rust and the paintwork is also very good with a rich colouring and deep shine when polished. The chrome is all in good condition and we have fitted new chrome wire wheels as there was a small amount of corrosion on the ones it arrived with – these really help to set off the car’s aesthetic.
Interior
As with the rest of this car, the condition of the interior is very good with no tears, marks or wearing on the seats. The cabin of the Midget is a little difficult to get into as it is so small but is plenty comfortable when you’re in and has a nice ‘snug’ feeling to it. The padded steering wheel is a nice feature and you can see from the photos that this car is in great condition inside and out.
Engine
The engine of the Midget starts and runs well, it was tuned and serviced when it arrived with us to make sure it was running at its best for its new owner. The engine revs freely and sounds great with a characterful note.
Running Gear
The running gear for this car is in good condition and was checked over upon the car arriving with us and any work that needed doing was taken care of. The brake pads were replaced among a few other minor jobs and the car stops just as it should. The gearbox shifts well and is just right for the car. The car drives brilliantly and handles well, it isn’t the fastest car but it certainly is fun to drive.
