Joseph the Beetle (1971)

£3,995

This 1971 Beetle is an example of why it can be great to be a little different. Finished in a rather eye catching flip paint more commonly see on TVRs, this little Beetle has been nicknamed Joseph (or Joseph the Technicolour Dream-Beetle in full). Like most Beetles Joseph isn’t perfect and does have some wear and tear and there are some paint issues. The sticker sections (on the bonnet, roof and engine cover) have lifted and cracked in sections and could use replacing. There is some micro blistering in some small areas and some damage by the lower hinge on the driver’s door. The interior could also use some tidying as there are some rips in the seats. However, this is a car that is perfect to use and enjoy in the good weather and improve when and where you see fit.

Recently the 1300cc engine has been rebuilt and a new cylinder head has been fitted,  so Joseph now runs very well and sounds great too. There have been other works undertaken including replacing a track rod end and other minor jobs. The MOT lasts until 10th July 2020.

There is not a huge amount of history with Joseph but there are a few bills and old MOTs along with paperwork for the work completed by us.
