We have had this C126 Mercedes 500 SEC in storage for a couple of years as a potential project for us to complete at a later date, but with an ever expanding list it seems a shame to keep it locked up rather than being enjoyed by someone, so we’re offering the chance for someone to purchase it. It is a solid car that starts, drives and runs nicely, although the gear selector does feel a little sticky when moving between gears. The bodywork is also good with very little in terms of dents, paint damage or rust. The interior is largely unmarked but the headlining will need replacing as it has all dropped. The car is quite obviously very under-tyred and though the wheels are of a similar size to what would have been originally fitted to this car, it affords any potential purchaser the opportunity to fit a larger set of wheels and change the tyres at the same time.
The car does not come with a great deal of paperwork, but the file includes an MOT history print out from the DVLA website and also the most recent MOT which expired in 2014. It is also supplied with an original owners manual.
The car has covered 164,217 miles in its lifetime, and it would be fantastic to see it on the road again and ready to cover that mileage again, with style and comfort provided in the way only a Mercedes of this age can.
